SMSme is the brainchild of Joe Novella and Joe Mottola of Beaumaris Soccer club in Melbourne's South. Two ordinary blokes who are passionate about their club and dedicated to making it run smoothly for the benefit of everyone involved. Their motivation for developing SMSme was simple - finding a better way for their club to communicate with its members at the lowest possible cost - FREE!

 

And so SMSme was born and now other clubs can reap the benefits of this innovative technology. 

 

Anyone involved in a grassroots or community club/organisation, will know that clubs are run by time-poor parents/volunteers on a shoe-string budget. SMSme will help Coaches, team managers and club officials communicate more effectively with their members, therefore freeing up time wasted by misunderstandings and confusion. The best part is that SMSme is free to clubs for use on club business - that's right, no cost.

How does it work? SMSme is a Web 2 phone application. Sounds complex but all it really means is that Coaches, Team Managers, Club Officials, managers, field staff coordinators -  that have access to the internet can log into our web-based program from their PC or laptop and send an SMS to a contact list. Imagine a coach being able to inform all the parents of the U9 Sharks that training is cancelled due to rain by sending an SMS to each parents mobile phone from the comfort of his/her laptop or PC - SMSme can do that and for free.

 

How is it Free? SMS text messages are made up of 160 characters. Organisations that sign up with SMSme will be able to utilise 100 characters on each SMS sent. 60 characters are reserved for our advertisers. Advertisers get to advertise to a club's database and the club gets free SMS - it's a Win-Win for all concerned.
